Biography

Lawson Jr’Music is a French-American singer, composer, and drummer, known for his radiant energy, deep musicality, and spiritual connection to rhythm. His creative universe is rooted in authenticity, emotion, and a vibrant presence that shines both on and off stage.

Recognized by legendary artists such as Stevie Wonder, Anderson .Paak, and many others he’s encountered along his path, Lawson has earned the respect of his peers across the world.

His musical roots began in French churches before evolving through formative gospel experiences in Virginia, USA. Trained by his mentor Alain Bemer at France’s prestigious Hohner Sonor Music Academy, he quickly rose as a highly expressive and technically masterful drummer. This first chapter of his life led him to perform across Europe, Africa, and the Americas, where his rhythm carried stories beyond words.

 

Throughout his journey, Lawson has collaborated with renowned musicians, artists, DJs and producers, bringing together diverse creative forces while remaining anchored in his spiritual and artistic DNA.

 

His transition into a full-fledged solo artist began in Asia, particularly Japan, with the birth of 

The “Focused” Project : a multi-dimensional musical exploration blending vocals, live drums, and a form of storytelling that is both personal and universal. His songs are designed not only to express himself, but to allow the listener to feel understood, accompanied, and uplifted.

His vinyl release of “Let It Go” marked a rare achievement, now available in iconic outlets such as Tower Records, HMV Records, and other leading stores across Japan. Alongside live shows and drum masterclasses, Lawson’s artistic impact quickly expanded throughout the country.

Beyond music, Lawson is also the founder of Focus Collection, a fashion house that translates his philosophy into unisex clothing—timeless pieces built around clarity, purpose, and intention.

Whether performing, creating, or designing, Lawson radiates through every discipline he touches. His art is not just to be heard or seen, it’s to be felt, lived, and remembered.
